Thriving Together Atlanta presents Equitable Dinners in September
Friday, September 20th, 2024
Thriving Together Atlanta is a public art project that presents a series of cultural events to help raise awareness about how systemic racism continues to impact the health and well-being of Atlanta citizens. A collaboration between the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, the CDC Foundation, National Black Arts Festival and Out of Hand Theater, the project engages communities through the power of arts and culture to educate, empower and mobilize individuals towards positive action.
This month, Thriving Together Atlanta will host several free Equitable Dinners that will bring together artists, health care professionals, community leaders and members of the public to enjoy a meal together. Presented in collaboration with Out of Hand Theater, Equitable Dinners for Thriving Together Atlanta are events that foster connections between attendees and spark change. Each dinner starts with a short play that sets the stage for meaningful conversations, with the gatherings composed of people from diverse backgrounds to engage in discussions about complex subjects while enjoying a meal. Admission is free to all events, but seating is limited, and attendees must register. For more details and to reserve tickets RSVP here.
