ATL-Based AmeriPro Inks 3-Year Extension in Tennessee
Tuesday, October 29th, 2024
AmeriPro Health, an industry leader in emergency services, patient logistics and last-mile healthcare delivery, announces today the Polk County Commission voted eight to one to renew the EMS provider’s contract, extending it through 2027.
The renewed contract, effective November 1, will expand the current fleet from three to four advanced life support (ALS) ambulances, ensuring 24/7 service and creating new jobs in the region.
“This contract renewal means expanded coverage and, given the geographic size of the county, allows us to strategically deploy resources where they’re needed most,” says Larry Richardson, chief business officer of AmeriPro Health. “The addition of a fourth ambulance ensures equal coverage on both sides of the county, further improving response times and better out-of-hospital outcomes. We’re committed to offering Polk County residents the most advanced, reliable and compassionate care possible, ensuring they receive timely medical attention when it matters most.”
AmeriPro Health began its partnership with Polk County in 2022 after acquiring CareMed EMS, bringing enhanced infrastructure, leadership and cutting-edge medical transportation services to the area.
“This renewal reflects the trust and confidence our community places in AmeriPro’s ability to provide life-saving care,” says Robby Hatcher, executive officer of Polk County. “Their expanded services and commitment to improving response times will make a real difference for the residents of Polk County.”
With this contract extension, AmeriPro Health is positioned to continue offering its growing suite of customizable, patient-centered services designed to meet and exceed community needs.
The renewal follows AmeriPro Health’s recent launch of a first-of-its-kind telemedicine program in Jacksonville, Florida, in partnership with Telescope Health and the City of Jacksonville. The program provides free, 24/7 virtual care to over 100,000 local residents without health insurance.
Established in 2018 in the Metro Atlanta area as a tech-enabled emergency service provider, AmeriPro Health has rapidly grown to more than 1,500 employees in nine states with continued growth projected in 2025.
