Paradies Lagardère, a leading North American airport concessionaire, is proud to announce the company’s partnership with Meals On Wheels Atlanta (MOWA), a nonprofit organization serving as a lifeline for seniors and their furry friends struggling with hunger and social isolation. By offering MOWA’s Purposeful Gourmet Foods’ handcrafted Pecans and Fruits (pictured below) for purchase at retail stores throughout Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), 100% of the proceeds support the organization’s home-delivered meals program. The purchase of Purposeful Gourmet Foods snacks helps to ensure no senior or their pet family goes hungry, cold, or forgotten.

“The Purposeful Gourmet Foods retail offerings provide an excellent opportunity for travelers to do something good for their local Atlanta community while flying – and snacking,” says Aaron Bonham, chief merchandising officer for Paradies Lagardère. “It’s also a wonderful way for Paradies Lagardère and its employees to show our gratitude for, and make a meaningful impact on, the Atlanta community.”

Chef Robert Gerstenecker, chief culinary director at MOWA and former executive chef at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, developed these gourmet snacks in MOWA’s kitchen using locally sourced ingredients. Products include Purposeful Pecans and Purposeful Fruits such as:

  • Sweet With Heat Pecans: candied Georgia-grown pecans flavored with the perfect balance of chili peppers and cane sugar.

  • Sugar & Spice Pecans: candied Georgia-grown pecans flavored with the perfect balance of cinnamon and cane sugar.

  • Peaches and More: energy-boosting dried peaches blended with antioxidant-rich blueberries, dried papaya, dried pineapple, dried cherries, dried cranberries, raisins, and dates.

Since the inception of this partnership in January 2024, more than $6,000 has been raised from the sale of Purposeful Gourmet Foods products at Paradies Lagardère’s retail stores, which has provided over 1,000 meals to Atlanta’s senior neighbors in need.

  • Southern National Market in Concourse T
