Atlanta Beltline, Inc. Requesting Statements of Qualifications for Westside Trail – Segment 6

Atlanta Beltline, Inc. is inviting design firms to submit their statements of qualifications for the design of theWestside Trail – Segment 6. This pivotal 0.6-mile segment of mainline trail will connect the existing Westside Trail at Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard to the existing Westside Trail at Lawton Street, bridging a crucial gap in the trail corridor.
Once complete, the entire Westside Trail will span 5.6 miles connecting to the future Northwest Trail and the Southwest Trail, offering expanded connectivity and accessibility.

This segment will include design of a 14’ wide concrete multi-use path with soft shoulders on each side, planting, fiber duct bank, retaining walls, stainless steel handrails/guardrails, storm drainage and management (with a focus on green infrastructure), environmental remediation, lighting, and security cameras.
The current segment of the Westside Trail that is under construction is Westside Trail – Segment 4, spanning 1.3 miles from the western edge of Washington Park to Bankhead/Historic Westin Heights. This project is expected to be complete by Q2 2025.
The development of the Beltline has accelerated, with 85% of the transformative project either complete or under construction totaling 17.5-miles in trail length. To date, 10.4 miles of the 22-mile Beltline mainline loop and 10.3 miles of connector trails that tie directly into current and future segments of the Beltline mainline trail have been completed.
