Monday, November 18th, 2024
Following the opening of the new Bocado in Sandy Springs, Atlanta restaurateur Brian Lewis is excited to extend the Bocado experience beyond the restaurant with the launch of Bocado’s artisan sourdough pizzas, available for online ordering and nationwide delivery at bocadopizza.com. Just in time for National Pizza Month, Bocado is bringing its signature naturally leavened, wood-fired sourdough pizzas to a broader audience with a range of ready-to-ship pizzas, allowing customers to enjoy Bocado’s flavors from the comfort of home.
Bocado’s fresh wood-fired pizzas are crafted with the same meticulous attention to quality and ingredients that define the restaurant’s offerings. Using flour from a small Italian farm, fresh mozzarella, and vibrant tomatoes from Southern Italy’s Campania region, these pizzas feature dough that's naturally leavened over 72 hours, resulting in a rich, flavorful sourdough crust that is hand-stretched and baked to an airy, chewy inside with a perfectly crisp exterior. Flavors include:
-
Margherita ($26) – A traditional Neapolitan pizza with incredible flavor from San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh Fior di Latte mozzarella & garden basil, finished with a drizzle of olive oil & flaky salt.
-
Four Cheese ($29) – Made with a delicate creamy white bechamel sauce layered with aged pecorino, fontina, provolone & bufala mozzarella, topped with tomatoes & basil & finished with a drizzle of olive oil & flaky salt.
-
Marinara ($22) – A vegan favorite with San Marzano tomato sauce, shaved garlic & sprinkling of wild oregano, finished with a drizzle of olive oil & flaky salt.
-
Pepperoni ($29) – A combination of savory & bold flavors where each bite is as indulgent as the last with butcher pepperoni cups nestled in fresh Fior di Latte mozzarella & laid above a layer of silky San Marzano tomato sauce.
-
Sausage ($29) – A bold & fiery combination of house-made fennel sausage with Calabrian chiles on top of San Marzano tomato sauce & fresh Fior di Latte mozzarella, finished with scallions.
-
Wild Mushroom & Vidalia Onion ($30) – A delicate pairing of wild mushrooms, Georgia Vidalia onions, provolone cheese & fresh fior di latte mozzarella on a house bechamel white sauce. The perfect balance of savory & creamy, with a sprinkle of flaky salt.
-
Spicy Salumi ($32) – An authentic Italian pie topped with San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh fior di latte mozzarella, spicy soppressata & Calabrian chile
“We’ve always believed in the importance of simple, good ingredients, and wanted to create pizzas that you can feel good about eating – pizzas that are as close to the fresh experience as possible,” Lewis explains. “So many conventional grocery brand pizzas are filled with preservatives to extend their shelf life, and Bocado’s pies are about celebrating the joy of pizza without the unnecessary additives.”
