Wednesday, November 6th, 2024

The Greater Women’s Business Council® (GWBC®) aims to cultivate the growth of women-owned business enterprises (WBEs) by providing education, resources, access to funding, innovative networking opportunities and more in Georgia and the Carolinas. In a first of its kind collaboration, GWBC® has partnered with Invest Atlanta and its Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI) to premiere The WBE Collaborative, GWBC’s new coworking space in the heart of midtown Atlanta. As part of the collaboration, GWBC® will hold an open house this Thursday, October 24 from 2 – 4 p.m. on the 4th floor of the Bank of America building, followed by the graduation of WEI’s most recent cohort taking place on the 55th floor from 4 – 6 p.m.

WEI is an educational program for women entrepreneurs where they can grow their businesses through funding, education and mentorship in a technologically advanced environment. As a reward for graduating, WEI 2024 Cohort members will be given memberships to The WBE Collaborative.

“We are thrilled about this unique partnership to advance women business owners with Invest Atlanta and are delighted to not only host the WEI cohort graduation but also offer the start up female founders with a space they can call home as they continue their ventures,” stated GWBC President and CEO Roz Lewis.

The WBE Collaborative provides:

Networking opportunities by bringing together professionals from different industries
Increased productivity in a space that reduces distractions
Financial savings compared to leasing a traditional office
Flexible fee-based plans
Access to amenities like mailboxes, security and a centrally located office
A work-life balance by creating a separation between work and home life
A creative environment surrounded by motivated professionals
A professional setting for client meetings
The WBE Collaborative offers a modern and comfortable, professional office space for women founders, WBEs and corporate partners to network with other women business owners, attend GWBC®-hosted networking events, use hot desking and a variety of smaller and large conference rooms for meetings.

“We understand the coworking model is popular, however The WBE Collaborative is not just a spot to set up your laptop and take calls or meetings. It has been designed to engage and foster business collaborations for female founders. The WBE Collaborative also offers education, resources and opportunities no other coworking space provides,” said Lewis. “The WBE Collaborative has everything women business owners need to succeed.”
