Jones Worley, an Atlanta-based marketing communications firm, received the “Excellence in Inclusive Collaboration Award” from the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) for being part of a team that launched a bus rapid transit system in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Jones Worley was the DBE that partnered with Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA), and H. W. Lochner, a prime contractor, that launched the SunRunner BRT, the first of its kind in the region.

APTA, the public transportation industry’s premier advocacy organization and think-tank, made the announcement earlier this month at the group’s TRANSform conference. Cynthia Jones Parks, president and CEO of Jones Worley, accepted the award on the firm’s behalf.

Jones Worley, an African-American woman-owned business entering its 35th year in operation, is located in Midtown Atlanta. It specializes in branding, messaging, strategic communications, wayfinding, and environmental signage design.

Their work can be seen at 70 airports and transit authorities throughout the US, including Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The firm’s portfolio also includes large sports and event arenas, public spaces, hotels, and colleges and universities.
