Workforce Fulton Awarded Grant to Expand Apprenticeship Programs

WorkSource Fulton is honored to be awarded the

WorkSource Georgia Apprenticeship Navigator Grant. This grant, made possible by the Office of

Workforce Development (OWD), is designed to expand access to apprenticeship opportunities across

Georgia. The grant aims to strengthen workforce development and expand job training programs to

support local communities in Fulton County. The apprenticeship navigator grant funds will be

utilized to develop and implement effective apprenticeship programs that provide valuable hands-on

training and career opportunities for job seekers in the region.

"We are excited about the potential this grant holds for Fulton County to become a leader in the

Metro Atlanta region in delivering a reliable and trained workforce," says Brett Lacy, Deputy

Director, Select Fulton. "This funding will allow us to expand our apprenticeship initiatives and help

create new pathways for Fulton County residents and employers to provide essential skills in high-

demand industries."

Apprenticeships play a crucial role in building a skilled workforce in Fulton County. Apprenticeships

also play an essential role in connecting Fulton County residents with meaningful employment. In

addition to funding, WorkSource Fulton will collaborate with the Apprentice Georgia Program

Development Team to enhance strategies and solutions focused on apprenticeship programs. This

partnership is designed to ensure that the implementation of these initiatives aligns with the industry's

needs and best practices.
