Thursday, December 19th, 2024
AT&T’s Field Operations provided Utopian Academy of the Arts with 25 refurbished iPads today to distribute to its students.
The iPads were given to Utopian Academy students to help close the digital divide in Clayton County. Human I-T will provide one year of tech support for the student’s devices.
Utopian Academy for the Arts was founded with the support of the local community and business and civic leaders who believe that the children of Clayton County deserve a high-quality performing arts school with a rigorous academic program to prepare them for success in college and careers.
“AT&T’s donation of iPads to Utopian Academy students will have a transformative impact on our students’ educational experience. This gift not only enhances their ability to learn and engage with cutting-edge technology, but it also opens doors to new possibilities, sparking creativity and innovation,” said Dr. Artesius Miller, Founder & CEO, Utopian Academy for the Arts Charter School Network. “By addressing the digital equity gap, AT&T is empowering our students to compete and thrive in an increasingly digital world. Together, we are equipping the next generation with the tools they need to achieve their dreams.”
“By providing access to essential technology, AT&T’s donation of laptops to Utopian Academy students not only enhances educational opportunities but also helps bridge the digital equity gap for Clayton County youth and families,” said Valencia Williamson, President & CEO, Clayton County Chamber of Commerce. “We appreciate AT&T’s continued commitment to Clayton County and their efforts to close the digital divide in our local communities.”
This effort is part of the AT&T Connected Learning® initiative to help address the digital divide through internet accessibility, affordability and safe adoption. AT&T is committing $5 billion to help 25 million people get and stay connected to high-speed internet by 2030.
“At AT&T, we are committed to helping close the digital equity gap, and we are proud to provide Utopian Academy students with the technology and digital resources they need to thrive,” said Brandon Hartley, Director of External Affairs, AT&T Georgia. “Through this collaboration, we are empowering Utopian Academy students with the promise of tomorrow and connecting more Georgians to greater possibility.”
