Over 120 golfers participated in the Children’s Museum of Atlanta’s 12th Annual Tournament for PLAY, presented by PNC Bank. Held at the esteemed Peachtree Golf Club Monday, Aug. 26, the tournament raised $238,000, bringing the total to over $2 million since 2012.

These funds support educational exhibits, community outreach efforts and programs to reduce barriers to access so the Museum can provide play-based learning to over 190,000 children and caregivers every year. Donations help the Museum better serve the region and fulfill its mission to change the world by sparking every child’s imagination, sense of discovery and learning through the power of play. This year's tournament was chaired by David Ankenbrant, CEO, Osprey Corporation, and secured significant contributions from notable sponsors, including Mellow Mushroom, Georgia Natural Gas, LexisNexis Risk Solutions and Osprey Corporation.

“This annual event plays a vital role in elevating and sustaining the innovative, educational and interactive programs at Children’s Museum of Atlanta that enrich the lives of local children,” said Samantha Jones, PNC regional president for Georgia. “PNC is proud to continue our support of this organization and its commitment to uplifting the next generation and strengthening the future of our community.”

The Museum's vision is to cement its place as a premier children's museum, dedicated to igniting curiosity, nurturing creativity, enhancing problem-solving skills and inspiring a lifelong love of learning in the next generation. Successful fundraising events like the Tournament for PLAY shines a spotlight on the vital role that the nonprofit plays in shaping young minds.

“On behalf of the Museum, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all sponsors, participants and volunteers who continue to put their trust in the remarkable impact the Museum makes in our community,” said Edwin Link, executive director of Children’s Museum of Atlanta. “Surpassing $2 million in funds raised is a humbling and remarkable milestone.”

The event brought together sponsors, golfers and supporters who share a common commitment of creating a brighter future for the children of Atlanta.
