Lenox Square and Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities (ARMHC) are partnering to host a winter coat drive throughout January to benefit children visiting ARMHC’s Care Mobile. Shoppers can donate new coats of all sizes in bins with designated ARMHC and Lenox Square logos near the escalators by American Eagle on the Mall Level and inside the Mall Management Office located on the Market Level near the Dining Pavilion, now through Jan. 31.
“This partnership with ARMHC’s Care Mobile affords Lenox Square the opportunity to contribute to an important cause. We certainly appreciate the opportunity to provide the instrumental resources that create stronger, healthier children,” said Lenox Square’s General Manager Robin Suggs. “By fostering meaningful relationships with local organizations such as the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, we believe we can support and empower families while giving back to our community.”
Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities is a non-profit organization that expands access to quality healthcare for families with sick or injured children. In partnership with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a 40-foot long, 8-foot-wide van and medical clinic offering health education, primary care, asthma care, school-required immunizations, health checks, sports physicals and more to children. Year-to-date, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile has experienced 1,070 visits and cared for 1,042 unique patients.
“We are pleased to kick off the new year with a coat drive at Lenox Square, which will provide the wonderful gift of warm coats to children this winter,” said Tracey Atwater, president and CEO of ARMHC. “Each year, we see a growing number of families who rely on our Care Mobile for accessible pediatric care, and these generous donations will make a great impact in providing warmth to children in need.”
