The Lovett School Welcomes New Head of Middle School Alisha Fisher

The Lovett School is thrilled to announce that after a comprehensive national search, Alisha Fisher has been named the new Head of Middle School.
Alisha brings more than 20 years of educational leadership and teaching experience to her role. During her career, she has served as a superintendent, principal, middle school dean, and instructional coach. Most recently, she served as the Superintendent at Atlanta Heights Charter School since 2018. While there, she received multiple Eagle Awards for exceeding enrollment goals, parent satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and student attendance. During her last year in a classroom, she was named a Coca-Cola Teacher of the Year.

Her leadership will inspire, support, and challenge our students, and enhance Lovett’s reputation as a destination middle school for families. We are excited for the vision and energy she brings to this role and look forward to the positive impacts she will make in the lives of our students, faculty, and the broader Lovett community.”
A native of Washington, D.C., Alisha earned a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Clark Atlanta University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University, and an Educational Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University.
Her commitment to fostering academic excellence, inclusivity, and student well-being has defined her leadership approach. Alisha is passionate about creating supportive and dynamic environments where middle schoolers thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Alisha will lead the Lovett Middle School into its next era, building on the accomplishments of the school and continuing to create a culture that develops lifelong learners. Her first day will be March 10.
