Emory Healthcare has selected Molly Biwer as chief marketing officer for the health care system. She will assume her new role on March 3, 2025.
Biwer joins Emory Healthcare from Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where she served as chair and senior vice president of marketing, brand strategy, creative studio and strategic partnerships since 2020. In that role, she oversaw the development and execution of marketing initiatives, creative campaigns, strengthening brand awareness and patient acquisition, while spearheading the organization’s strategic partnerships to support brand value and growth.
As chief marketing officer at Emory Healthcare, Biwer will lead the marketing and communications strategies across the organization, playing an instrumental role in Emory Healthcare’s growth and transformation. She will work to shape Emory Healthcare’s brand presence, enhance patient engagement and develop meaningful connections between the organization and its diverse and expansive community.
Biwer will oversee the development of compelling marketing campaigns, a comprehensive communications strategy and media relations to highlight Emory Healthcare’s story to both internal and external audiences. Additionally, she will work to elevate awareness of Emory’s core missions — patient care, education, research and innovation — while advancing Emory’s use of technology and data analytics to support the patient journey.
“Molly brings a wealth of experience creating and delivering marketing strategies that elevate organizational brand and increase patient engagement, and we are excited she is joining the Emory Healthcare team,” says Joon S. Lee, MD, CEO of Emory Healthcare. “She is a charismatic, creative leader, and I am confident she will help enhance Emory Healthcare’s position as a premier health care system.”
“I am honored to join Emory Healthcare, an organization with a remarkable legacy of compassion, innovation and excellence in patient care,” says Biwer. “Emory’s unwavering commitment to improving lives, advancing medical research and serving our communities is inspiring and I look forward to working alongside the talented team here to build on Emory’s proud history, shape its future and continue to strengthen its position as a leader in health care."
Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, Biwer served in multiple leadership roles, including chief communications officer for Hallmark in Kansas City, Missouri, and senior vice president and chief communications officer at Carlson in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in marketing education from the University of Minnesota.
