These collective and consistent acts of giving without expectation are embedded into the curriculum and culture at Primrose schools nationwide through organized events and activities benefiting a range of causes related to children and families including:
-
Preschool students in Richmond, Virgina hosted lemonade stands to support children with cancer, raising over $3,500 for the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU.
-
Engaging in similar efforts across their regions to recognize National Diaper Need Awareness Week, Primrose schools across Dallas-Fort Worth, Kansas City, Jacksonville, Oklahoma City, Washington D.C. and Raleigh-Durham hosted diaper drives, donating more than 120,000 diapers to children who are underserved or in crisis.
As part of the more than $680,000 in monetary donations made in 2024, families raised more than $280,000 for the Primrose Schools Children's Foundation®, the charitable arm of Primrose Schools that exists to support a better future for underserved children and families and to expand access to high-quality early education and care through research and advocacy.
Research shows that parents are deeply concerned about their child's academic and character development before they turn five years old. As part of the Primrose Promise and embedded in the Balanced Learning® curriculum, young children at Primrose schools across the country will continue to participate in meaningful service-learning efforts building important character development skills like compassion and generosity in 2025.
