Today, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta (GSGATL) proudly announced the recipients of their prestigious Daring to Dream, Trailblazer, and Changing the World awards. These honors will be presented at a Girl Scout Women’s History Month Gala at the Delta Flight Museum on March 30th. Funds raised at the event will provide financial support to girls in need.
The 2025 honorees are:
-
Morgan Shaw Parker, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Atlanta Dream, will receive the Daring to Dream Award. A passionate advocate for women in sports and business, Parker is a proud Girl Scout alumna and Gold Award Girl Scout—the highest achievement a Girl Scout can earn. Under her leadership, the Atlanta Dream has become a beacon for women’s basketball, inspiring the next generation of female leaders. Parker also leads the Atlanta Dream's ongoing partnership with Girl Scouts, creating unforgettable experiences for girls at the annual Girl Scout Day with the Atlanta Dream.
-
Chloe Barzey, Atlanta Office Managing Director at Accenture, will be honored with the Trailblazer Award. As a former Girl Scout in Harlem, NY, Barzey credits her Girl Scout experience with igniting her ambition to pursue an Ivy League education and achieve professional success. A tireless advocate for equity and empowerment, she strives to make a difference in the corporate world and beyond. Barzey is also a proud parent of a Girl Scout.
-
Yglesias Hollins, Director, Community Development Global Community Affairs at The Coca-Cola Company, will receive the Changing the World Award. Hollins, a Girl Scout alumna, played a pivotal role in establishing the groundbreaking partnership between GSGATL and Communities in Schools Atlanta, helping to open doors for more than 400 middle school girls from under-resourced communities. A passionate champion for gender equity, Hollins lives the Girl Scout mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character.
“These women not only excel in their careers, but they also embody leadership by uplifting their communities. Through their dreams and achievements, they are lighting the way for the next generation of girls to believe in their own potential. Their stories inspire us all to give back, lead with purpose, and aim for greatness,” said Jai Ferrell, CEO of Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta.
Since 1921, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta has empowered young girls by providing an award-winning leadership development program to nearly a million Girl Scouts across its 34-county service area. Today’s girls gain invaluable outdoor skills, explore diverse career paths, and form lasting community connections, all while creating lifelong memories.
