Cooper Tacia General Contracting Company is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its Atlanta office this month as well as a string of business successes in Georgia and the southeast. 

Founded in 2003 by a pair of teenage friends, Cooper Tacia has grown to specialize in client-focused construction management services for a wide range of buildings and facilities throughout the southeast, including commercial, industrial, government, education, and airport and hangar projects.

The Atlanta office, located in the heart of downtown, is Cooper Tacia’s first location outside its headquarters in Raleigh, NC.

Heading up the Atlanta office is Executive Vice President and Atlanta Division Manager Scott Stamey (find headshots and other images here). Stamey spearheads the Atlanta office’s industrial and municipal projects including the following recent contract wins, which total $85 million in revenue: 

• The Dacula Park Activity Center in Georgia

• Steves And Sons in Georgia and Utah

• Aiken National Guard Readiness Center in South Carolina

• Southeastern Timber Products in Mississippi

• Enviva Epes in Alabama

Cooper Tacia is licensed to work throughout the Southeastern United States, as well as Utah. Locally, the company is active with the Urban Land Institute, the Metro Atlanta Chamber, NAWIC, Atlanta CREW and AIA Southeast. Additionally, the Cooper Charitable Foundation, which provides housing grants to help people access stable housing, is looking to expand to Atlanta next year.
