Former Georgia Bulldog Star Signing $10 Million Contract with Atlanta Falcons

The San Francisco 49ers have released former Georgia Bulldogs outside linebacker Leonard Floyd. Floyd recorded 8 and 1/2 sacks and 42 tackles in his only season with the 49ers.
Floyd has 48 and 1/2 sacks over the past five seasons, which is among the most of any player in the NFL. Following his release, Floyd is expected to sign a one-year, $10 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Floyd was a highly-sought after free agent and was not available for long.
