Gwinnett Chamber Hosts Second Congressional Welcome Luncheon
Friday, March 21st, 2025
The Gwinnett Chamber hosted its second Congressional Welcome Luncheon presented by Gateway85, bringing together U.S. Representatives Andrew Clyde (GA-09) and Hank Johnson (GA-04) for a meaningful discussion on their work to support the business community. The conversation centered around important issues for Gwinnett businesses, from critical infrastructure improvements like the I-85 corridor to workforce stability.
While Congressmen Clyde and Johnson shared starkly contrasting views on the best solutions to these challenges, with both doubling down on their stance, their mutual respect and shared commitment to working together painted a refreshing take on the current state of affairs in Washington D.C. Congressman Clyde encouraged business leaders to stay informed and engaged with their Representatives while Congressman Johnson advised the audience to find the right balance between leaning on one’s head and heart. In a time of increasing polarization, the Gwinnett Chamber remains committed to promoting civility, open dialogue, and partnerships with our congressional delegation.
Congressman Clyde represents Georgia’s Ninth Congressional District, which encompasses much of North and Northeast Georgia and extends as far south as Lawrenceville. Congressman Johnson represents Georgia’s Fourth Congressional District covers most of Dekalb County and the western side of Gwinnett County.
