Hawks To Celebrate 'Women's Empowerment Night presented by Your Atlanta Area BMW Centers

The Atlanta Hawks today announced their plans for their annual Women’s Empowerment Night presented by Your Atlanta Area BMW Centers, which will take place when the team takes on the Indiana Pacers at the award-winning State Farm Arena on Saturday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m.
Throughout the night, the Hawks will honor Women’s History Month by recognizing women’s contributions to the organization, the game of basketball, and the city of Atlanta. The festivities will feature the graduation of the She LEADS Class of 2025. In addition, the first 5,000 fans through doors will receive a complimentary belt bag giveaway. The skills and experiences they have gained will empower them to navigate their careers with purpose and make a lasting impacts in their fields.”
Prior to the game, the Hawks and BMW will host the graduation of the She LEADS program in the suite level event space. The She LEADS program is a year-long development program designed to foster the advancement and growth opportunities of early-career women in Atlanta, encompassing more than 40 participants across business, sports & entertainment, STEAM, and entrepreneurship sectors. Throughout the year, the women engaged in workshops, networking events, and various activities aimed at propelling their career growth.
As part of the graduation, there will be a keynote address given by Executive Vice President of Talent and Development Officer at Penske Automotive Group, Margaret Lane, and a panel entitled “Navigating the Path to Leadership: Wisdom and Tactics from Trailblazing Women.” The graduation will honor the program's successful completion and recognize each woman's dedication to personal and professional growth. All attendees will also be gifted a branded quarter zip pullover jacket courtesy of BMW.

Ahead of tipoff, the national anthem will be performed by singer, actress, dancer and Hawks’ in-game host Shamea Morton. A Georgia native and former Hawks cheerleader, Morton will be starring in the upcoming reality tv series The Real Housewives of Atlanta, where fans will get to witness her vibrant personality as she navigates the dynamic world of Atlanta’s social elite.
During the game, there will be a special dance performance with the ATL Dancers. In celebration of the night, the ATL Dancers will be joined by women team members from the Hawks for an employee spotlight dance performance.
At halftime, Drumline Live, an international tour based on the HBCU marching band tradition, will bring out an all-female group to perform in honor of the special night. With riveting rhythms, bold beats, and ear-grabbing energy, this talented group is a synchronized musical showcase of the HBCU experience. Incorporating original compositions and soul-infused interpretations of top 40 hits, group performances range from colorful, choreographed routines to heavy doses of drum riffs and cadences.
