Horizons Atlanta Names Ann Marie Bedtke as Executive Director and Three New Members to Its Board of Directors

Horizons Atlanta (HA), a nonprofit that supports metro-Atlanta K-12 students enrolled in Title 1 schools through high-quality out-of-school programming, has named Ann Marie Bedtke as its new executive director. Bedtke, who began her role on March 5, will oversee operations across Horizons Atlanta’s 11 program sites, strengthen community and partner engagement, and lead fundraising efforts. Additionally, Horizons Atlanta welcomes Lillie Louis-Fils, Dr. Kelly Gunn, and Abhay Prasanna to its board of directors.

With over two decades of leadership in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, Bedtke has driven impact across a range of fields, including STEAM education, science and astronomy, the cultural arts, and legal services. She has a proven track record in managing high-profile public-private partnerships and implementing strategy and fundraising efforts. Specializing in uniting diverse stakeholders, Bedtke excels at creating sustainable change. Her passion lies in guiding organizations through their next phase of growth by amplifying their mission, connecting with their audiences, increasing revenue, and achieving lasting results.

Bedtke holds a Master of Business Administration in organizational leadership and entrepreneurship from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, a Bachelor of Science in business from Empire State College in New York City, and an Associate of Arts from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.

New Board of Directors Members

Lillie Louis-Fils is a National Executive Director at Bank of America. She leads a high-performing organization of investment professionals across 12 states, driving strategic growth in banking and wealth management, expanding into new markets, and overseeing key financial initiatives. She was recognized in 2023 and 2024 as one of the top Women Leaders in Finance and has been featured in Yahoo Finance. She is dedicated to community engagement and serves on the boards of Habitat for Humanity and Covenant House Georgia. Louis-Fils holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Shiloh Seminary, FINRA Licenses 7,66,9,10,24, Charter Retirement Planning Counselor designation from the College for Financial Planning, Accredited Wealth Advisor designation from the College for Financial Planning, an Executive Leadership Certification from the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently studying in the Columbia University’s Executive Leadership C-Suite program.

Dr. Kelly Morgan Gunn is the Executive Director of The Kindezi Schools, a network of charter and partner schools within Atlanta Public Schools, where she leads a staff of 255 serving nearly 1,000 geniuses. Her experience includes teaching and education leadership roles in traditional, charter, and post-secondary sectors. Gunn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English education from Tennessee State University, a master’s degree in education administration and a specialist degree in curriculum and instruction from Louisiana State University, and a doctorate degree in urban educational leadership from the University of Cincinnati.

Abhay Prasanna is a Partner at McKinsey & Company’s Atlanta office where he counsels senior executives and directs high-performing cross-functional teams toward transforming companies in heavy industry, weaving together lean operations and next-gen operating models to reimagine how work gets done. He also leads McKinsey's work across Procurement and Supply Chain in their oil & gas and utility practices. Abhay holds a Master of Business Administration in operations and corporate finance management from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
