Star Metals District to Welcome Second Location of Iconic Ladybird to West Midtown

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Friday, March 14th, 2025

The Allen Morris Company is excited to announce that Ladybird, one of Atlanta’s most beloved restaurants, will expand with a second location at the vibrant Star Metals District in West Midtown. The new Ladybird location will transform a nearly one-acre site, currently comprised of a warehouse and parking spaces, into a vibrant adaptive reuse food & beverage hub.

Ladybird will bring its familiar, laid-back Eastside Beltline energy to the heart of West Midtown. The new location will sit directly in front ofStella at Star Metals, a 21-story residential tower set to open in June 2025. An opening timeline for Ladybird will be announced at a later date.

“We have wanted to bring Ladybird to West Midtown for the longest time, but knew everything would have to be perfect in order for us to emulate what makes the original location so special,” said Electric Hospitality CEO and Founder Michael Lennox. "We've been fortunate to get to know the neighborhood more closely through the Electric Room at Star Metals and believe in the long-term vision for the Star Metals District, so when Spencer Morris reached out about this opportunity, we immediately knew this was the proverbial "one" we had been looking for all along."

Spencer Morris, President of The Allen Morris Company, added, “We’ve envisioned the Star Metals District as an experiential community, a place where the old and new converge to create an exciting urban space. The introduction of Ladybird’s new location will further amplify the sense of community, bringing an additional layer of vibrancy and greenspace directly to West Midtown.”

About the Star Metals District
The addition of Ladybird is an integral piece of the Star Metals District—a $1.5 billion mixed-use development spanning ten acres across multiple phases. The development features notable projects and amenities, including Sentral at Star Metals, which has 409 residential units, Star Metals Offices, with over 270,000 square feet of office space that is now 91% leased, and the recently topped-off Stella at Star Metals which will house 327 ultra luxury rental residences. Together, and with over 100,000 sf of ground level retail, these components create a walkable, interconnected community where residents and visitors can live, work, and socialize in modern luxury.

Designed to be a high-design, urban renewal neighborhood, the Star Metals District will span across seven phases, including residential towers, retail spaces, restaurants, and public parks. Phases four, five, and six are already in development following the construction of Stella at Star Metals, adding significant mixed-use capabilities to this expanding district.
