The Atlanta Jazz Festival, Inc., one of the most esteemed cultural institutions in the country, proudly announces the appointment of Antwan Lang to its Board of Directors. Lang, a respected Atlanta business leader, public servant, and advocate for the arts, brings a wealth of experience in governance, community engagement, and strategic development.

Founded in 1978 by Mayor Maynard Jackson, the Atlanta Jazz Festival has long been a cultural beacon, showcasing the power and influence of jazz as America’s original art form. Over the decades, it has featured legendary artists such as Lionel Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie, Nina Simone, Ray Charles, Miles Davis, and Herbie Hancock. Today, it remains the largest free jazz festival in the nation, attracting over 200,000 attendees to Piedmont Park each Memorial Day weekend.
