Five Gwinnett County Breweries Join Forces to Honor Earth Day
Monday, April 14th, 2025
2024 bore witness to the birth of a very special craft beer in Gwinnett County, Georgia. ReBREWable Energy was conceived not only to honor Earth Day but also to benefit the local Keep America Beautiful affiliate, Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful. A portion of the proceeds from each pint sold at four area breweries went to support the eco-focused nonprofit. By the time taps ran dry, this special promotion had raised over $3k for Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful. 2025 marks the return of ReBREWable Energy and the addition of two new partners. The Earth-friendly elixir is now available – while supplies last – at Slow Pour Brewing Company in Lawrenceville, StillFire Brewing in Suwanee, 6S Brewing Company in Duluth, Elixir Brew Company in Buford, and Social Fox Brewing in Norcross. Each of these five breweries has crafted its own unique twist on ReBREWable Energy for their local taprooms, making each version of this limited-time brew distinct.
“Much like our organization, this promotion is founded in a solid sense of community,” said Schelly Marlatt, Executive Director for Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful. “We’re excited to have Elixir Brew Company and Social Fox Brewing join in the effort this year. All five breweries are socially and environmentally conscious, and ReBREWable Energy is a terrific way for them to help us raise funds and awareness each time their patrons raise a glass. Observed worldwide since 1970, the theme for Earth Day 2025 is OUR POWER, OUR PLANET. It invites everyone around the globe to unite behind renewable energy and take action on behalf of the environment. Ordering a pint of ReBREWable Energy is just one way to take action, and we appreciate every penny raised in support of our programs, which are devoted to making our little corner of the world a cleaner, greener, more vibrant place to live. We also offer other ways for our Gwinnett County neighbors to take action – whether volunteering for a cleanup event, becoming an Adopt-A-Road or Adopt-A-Stream partner, or participating in one of our recycling events.”
The next recycling event—co-hosted by Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful and Gwinnett Solid Waste—also honors Earth Day. It will take place at Coolray Field on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to noon. Electronics, tires, paint, and gently used clothing and sneakers will be collected for recycling. Paper shredding will also be available at the Earth Day Recycling Event.
