Through a new Graduate Certificate in Global Health, the Georgia State University School of Public Health is leveraging the expertise of its faculty and its location in the heart of Atlanta to prepare students to make a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Launching in fall 2025, the Graduate Certificate in Global Health provides students with knowledge and skills that enable them to contribute effective solutions to global health issues both in their local communities and around the world. Sarah McCool, a clinical associate professor and director of global health initiatives in the School of Public Health, added that the teamwork and cross-cultural communication skills the program cultivates are in demand across a range of fields and industries.

“Students choose to study public health because they want to make a difference after graduation, both locally and around the world,” McCool said. “With our new Graduate Certificate in Global Health, they will be better prepared for careers that require creative, evidence-based solutions to complex global challenges.”
