Georgia Trauma Foundation – a nonprofit investing in trauma care to help save lives in Georgia – presents Tides of Change in Trauma Care, its signature, annual fundraising event. It takes place on 6-10 p.m. Saturday, May 17 at the Georgia Aquarium.

This unforgettable evening brings together healthcare leaders, first responders, trauma survivors, medical professionals, and community supporters to raise vital funds for critical trauma programs. These programs ensure that when the unthinkable happens, the best possible care is available to every Georgian in need.

“Trauma can affect anyone at any time,” says Cheryle Ward, executive director of Georgia Trauma Foundation. “A single moment can change a life forever. And in that moment, access to high quality trauma care can make all the difference.”

Tides of Change in Trauma Care pays tribute to the lives and legacies of Don Avery and Earl Rogers, two visionary leaders whose dedication and innovation in health care helped improve outcomes for patients throughout Georgia. It takes place amid a backdrop of floor-to-ceiling aquarium windows, immersing guests in an oceanic setting featuring manta rays, schools of fish, and other aquatic creatures.

Attendees enjoy a seated gourmet dinner courtesy of Wolfgang Puck Catering while speakers explain the importance of Georgia Trauma Foundation’s mission and how its fundraising efforts bolster trauma care in Georgia. As the evening unfolds, guests celebrate the cause with music, dancing, cocktails, raffle prizes, and more.

Live and silent auctions offer an array of luxury getaways, exclusive experiences, and one-of-a-kind items. This includes a trip to Italy’s Amalfi Coast and the 007 VIP Experience, a vacation with opulent accommodations, private tours, and adventures fit for a James Bond film.

Tickets are $175 each or $1,400 for a table of eight and can be purchased at GeorgiaTraumaFoundation.org

Nearby hotels Omni Hotel at Centennial Park and SpringHill Suites by Marriott are offering special rates until April 25.

Event sponsorship opportunities are now available for organizations and individuals wishing to support the event and Georgia Trauma Foundation as a whole.

“Every dollar we raise gets us closer to a future where more lives are saved, families stay together, and trauma victims have the best shot at survival.” Ward says.
