Ameris Bank has welcomed Joe Bennett as the new Atlanta market president. In this role, Bennett is responsible for leading the bank’s Commercial Banking team’s efforts to continue to grow the thriving Atlanta market. Bennett will report to Brian Parks, head of wholesale banking. 

Bennett joins Ameris from First Citizens Bank where he spent the last 18 years, most recently as manager of Commercial Banking. An Atlanta native, Bennett grew up in Roswell and has spent his entire career as a banker in Atlanta. He is a graduate of Mercer University where he played baseball, and he continues to stay connected to the sport as a baseball coach.
