The High Museum of Art announced today that Atlanta-based fashion entrepreneur, philanthropist and long-time board member Lauren Amos has provided a multimillion-dollar gift to the museum to fund fashion exhibitions, a curatorial position and related programs over the next five years. The Lauren Amos Fashion Project will be the High’s first multi-faceted initiative dedicated to fashion design in its nearly 100-year history.

As its inaugural program, the Lauren Amos Fashion Project will provide foundational support for “Viktor&Rolf. Fashion Statements,” the first major retrospective featuring the work of the Dutch couture designers, which will make its U.S. debut at the High this fall (Oct. 10, 2025-Feb. 8, 2026). The High will be commencing the search for a curator who will be responsible for the museum’s fashion efforts, including development of new programs, scholarship and a major forthcoming exhibition anticipated for 2028-2029.

Amos pledged this support to recognize the High’s established track record of successful fashion exhibitions, including “Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion” (November 2015-May 2016), “The Rise of Sneaker Culture” (June-August 2016), and “Virgil Abloh: ‘Figures of Speech’” (November 2019-March 2020).

“Lauren is among our most engaged supporters as both a donor and board member, and we’re delighted to see that engagement evolve with the Lauren Amos Fashion Project,” said High Museum of Art Director Rand Suffolk. “We are so grateful to Lauren for her vision and look forward to bringing exquisite examples of creativity, extraordinary craft and innovation to the city of Atlanta.”

In 2022, Amos founded and opened ANT/DOTE, a luxury multi-brand fashion and lifestyle boutique in Atlanta. It features a carefully curated collection of designer clothing, accessories, jewelry and brands that are not commonly found elsewhere in the city, including Balenciaga, Rick Owens, Alaïa, Phoebe Philo, Comme des Garçons, Junya Watanabe, Issey Miyake, Willy Chavarria and more. Additionally, Amos founded wish ATL, one of the nation’s only women-owned and -operated streetwear boutiques. A global fashion house of international renown, wish ATL showcases the world’s most innovative labels in designer streetwear.

Amos’ charitable causes include Meals on Wheels Atlanta, Spelman College Museum of Fine Art, and the High Museum of Art, where she has been a board member since 2013. She also serves on the boards of the wish Foundation and the Daniel P. Amos Family Foundation and recently launched the wish ATL Sneaker Design Scholarship at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

“The High Museum has been a source of wonder and inspiration for me for so many years, and I’m truly thankful to strengthen my connection to this beloved institution,” said Amos. “Supporting the arts is incredibly important to me, and this opportunity to showcase fashion as a true art form inside one of the nation’s premier museums is a dream come true. Creativity can challenge, inspire and unite people, and the High demonstrates that so beautifully. I look forward to the conversations and ideas that this project will spark, and I’m honored to play a small role in shaping what’s to come.”
