Pets Are Loving Support, Inc. (PALS Atlanta), the beloved “tiny but mighty” nonprofit providing ongoing care and support to the pets of Atlantans living with critical illnesses, disabilities and aging challenges, is thrilled to mark its 35th anniversary with a celebratory gala August 23, 2025 at Piedmont Park’s Park Tavern.

“PALS has always believed that pets are family,” says Executive Director Tommy Burkhalter Lazaro. “For 35 years, we’ve been dedicated to making sure that love and support don’t have to end at diagnosis, disability or aging. We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with the community that’s helped us make it possible.”

The anniversary gala will be at 7 p.m. in the Park Tavern Garden Tent, featuring music, dancing, food, drinks, auctions, special guests – and a few fun surprises. This special evening will honor three and a half decades of work keeping pets and their people together to share the healing power of love and companionship.

“Whether you’ve volunteered, donated or simply cheered from the sidelines, this celebration is for you,” Burkhalter Lazaro says. “Help us honor the past, celebrate the present and build a future in which no one has to choose between their health and their pet.”

PALS Atlanta continues to welcome sponsors to help mark this milestone. Sponsorship opportunities range from Kool Kitty ($500) to Pack Leader ($5,000), with benefits including logo placement, recognition during the event, and VIP seating and tickets. Early sponsor commitments = greater recognition.

Likewise, early bird tickets are available through June 30 at $80 per person ($125 for VIP), including drinks and VIP swag. After June 30, tickets are $100 ($150 for VIP). Ticket details, ticket purchase.
