The Rome Floyd County Development Authority has retained The Chason Group to lead an executive search for a President and Chief Executive Officer. Nestled in the foothills of Northwest Georgia and with a county population of over 100,000 residents, Rome is a vibrant city known for its scenic beauty, thriving local economy, and strong sense of community. It is approximately 65 miles northwest of Atlanta, 65 miles south of Chattanooga, and 90 miles northeast of Birmingham, making it a strategic hub within the tri-state region. The area is home to various industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, education, and logistics.

The economic development professional is responsible for all aspects of operations for the Development Authority. The executive will lead the strategic planning and execution of economic development for the Rome Floyd County area. The President and CEO is accountable for recruiting targeted new businesses; retaining, supporting, and expanding existing businesses; as well as collaborating with community partners to develop, retain, and attract a strong workforce for the area.
