Swinerton Builders, an industry-leading commercial general contractor with offices nationwide, is poised and ready for continued growth throughout the East Coast, bolstered by new talent and promotions. Nine new construction experts joined the Atlanta, Carolinas and New York Metro divisions, adding nearly 200 years of combined construction knowledge. Swinerton expects  construction projects along the East Coast will generate nearly $450 million of revenue in 2025, driving revenue growth for the firm’s regional divisions.

“Seven years ago, Swinerton landed on the East Coast with the opening of the Atlanta and Charlotte offices, and we haven’t slowed since,” says Derek Mosiman, vice president, division manager, Swinerton’s Atlanta division. “Collectively, the divisions along the East Coast have established their irrefutable reputations of deep knowledge across a variety of target markets, working for popular public companies, government entities as well as Fortune 500 names in healthcare, education, hospitality, multifamily and general business. Not only is our success attributable to our refined construction acumen, but also our distinctive culture. And now more than ever, we’re equipped to build our presence even more.”

Since 2018, the Carolinas division has experienced 16,000 percent revenue growth, earning the trust of T-Mobile, the city of Charlotte, N.C., Space Craft, Melmark and other high-profile, confidential clients. Within the same timeframe, the Atlanta division has experienced 923 percent revenue growth, delivering projects for notable companies such as Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Delta Air Lines, T-Mobile, OneStreet Residential, WeWork and more. The New York Metro division has quickly grown since its 2021 opening, increasing revenues by 238 percent with clients such as Patreon, Milstein Properties, Warsaw Theater and Public Storage.

“Continued growth is expected for all East Coast divisions,” adds Kevin Smith, vice president, division manager, Swinerton’s Carolinas division. In 2025, the Carolinas division is expected to top $185 million, the Atlanta division at $175 million and the New York Metro division at $76 million in revenue, a combined, projected increase of 83 percent. “We now have the regional professionals in place to deliver quality construction that Swinerton has been known for since 1888, all along the East Coast,” continues Smith. With three decades of experience within the architecture, engineering and construction industry, Kim Williams joins Swinerton as Regional Marketing Director. Williams excels in deploying consistent and compelling capture planning and value propositions aimed at securing new build opportunities for the firm.

The newest of Swinerton’s East Coast divisions is adding heavy-weight experience to support its exponential growth and reinforce its foothold in New York and New Jersey. Joining the New York Metro division as Director of Client Relations is Nicholas Schifferle. With 20 years of experience, Schifferle is in pursuit of commercial build opportunities throughout the Tri-State area, particularly seeking Public-Private Partnership (P3) and K-12 education opportunities. Nick Dinallo also joins the division as Project Executive with experience estimating, purchasing and building over $1 billion of commercial projects across New Jersey with significant experience at Terminal Construction Corporation. Dinallo leveraged his wealth of knowledge and passion for ground-up construction to the state of New Jersey’s first Public-Private Partnership (“P3”) development for Montclair State University.

“Nicholas is well known throughout our industry for his work across the United States and around the world, particularly in Thailand for JLL and Singapore, San Francisco and New York for M. Moser,” offers Andrew Pearl, vice president, division manager, Swinerton’s New York Metro division. “Where better to apply this diverse expertise than in the busiest city in the world? His established relationships enable Swinerton to pursue key client partnerships alongside our National Accounts teams.”

The Carolinas division is also fortifying its expected growth with additional talent. Promoted to Operations Manager, Allan Williams reinforces Swinerton with his $1.2 billion of construction experience. Williams plays a key role in the firm’s operations, offering his design-build knowledge and extensive field expertise to the construction process. Ethan Zisk transfers from Swinerton’s Seattle office as Project Manager with 11 years of construction experience in markets such as K-12 education, office and parking structures. In addition, three Carolinas professionals were promoted to Project Executive:

  • Carly Morris, a 17-year industry veteran who has completed $488 million of healthcare construction

  • Kyle Bailey, a 14-year expert who has tackled $260 million in construction projects

  • Thomas Ivy, a 13-year professional who has completed $239 million of builds and specializes in commercial interiors

“Carly, Thomas and Kyle are armed with local expertise and have led their teams with integrity, executed projects with excellence and partnered with transparency to successfully represent Swinerton throughout the Carolinas,” states Smith. “Their roles as construction stewards ensure our continued growth and secure our leadership role in the economic growth of the Carolinas.”

The Atlanta division continues the talent fortification to ensure seamless and cohesive project delivery across all markets. Mark Bommarito transfers from California as the Atlanta division’s General Superintendent, succeeding Bill Montgomery, who is retiring after 26 years of service. Since the early 2000s, Bommarito has been involved in $460 million of construction projects for Swinerton. Promoted to General Superintendent of Self-Perform, Glenn Agan continues his four decades of construction experience, providing critical strengthening of the firm’s self-perform capabilities. Another Swinerton veteran, Pamela Chapman is promoted to Division Administrative Manager. Two additional Atlanta professionals are also promoted:

  • Roya Vermillion, a 15-year industry veteran, is named Director of Preconstruction, leading a robust team of professionals that harnesses Swinerton’s extensive network of trade professionals.

  • Parker Schoening, a 14-year industry veteran, is appointed Operations Manager, ensuring operational excellence across all teams and prioritizing the client experience.

The Swinerton Family of Companies affords the divisions along the East Coast with stability and guidance through its unique market footholds. Timberlab and Swinerton Energy empower clients to utilize sustainable energy and materials.
