Experts Warn Skimmers are Targeting EBT Cards Across Georgia

Thousands of Georgians rely on Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards to feed their families, but scammers are increasingly targeting those funds, and once they're gone, they may be gone for good.
Through May 21, DHS received 29,703 reports of stolen SNAP benefits—an average of over 80 cases a day statewide. Total losses this year alone amount to $23,190,670.24.
