Lucky Star, the modern Taiwanese restaurant that opened in West Midtown’s Star Metals District last December, now offers an intimate cocktail omakase experience just in time for the summer season. Limited to just six guests per seating, the curated tasting is a collaboration between Michelin-starred Chef Jason Liang and Beverage Director Kirk Gibson, featuring five inventive cocktail courses thoughtfully paired with Taiwanese-inspired bites. [Photos here]

Every Wednesday and Thursday throughout June, with the potential to extend into the summer, guests can look forward to inventive flavor pairings that balance savory and sweet, such as cocktails topped with fresh seafood or a sip served alongside a single, exquisite spoonful of Lucky Star’s signature Beef Noodle Soup. The experience is equal parts whimsical, educational and artfully executed. While much of the menu remains a surprise, a sneak peek includes an opening Bubbles course featuring a Champagne Syrup Milk Punch topped with a Taiwanese-style oyster, and a final Coffee course pairing an Espresso Martini with a mini cream-filled croissant.

The experience is priced at $85 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and can be reserved exclusively via Resy. Due to the light nature of the bites, guests are encouraged to enjoy a full dining experience at Lucky Star before or after the cocktail omakase.
