Mimms Museum of Technology and Art Launches “Night Mode” Summer Series
Monday, June 23rd, 2025
The Mimms Museum of Technology and Art (Mimms Museum),formerly Computer Museum of America, a nonprofit metro Atlanta attraction home to one of the world’s largest collections of digital-era artifacts and rotating art exhibits, today announced its new summer series: Night Mode. On the second Friday of each month—June 13, July 11 and August 8—the museum will stay open until 9 p.m., inviting guests to explore after-hours with drinks available for purchase.
“Extending our regular hours for Night Mode allows the museum to connect with more visitors and share the rich history and innovation our artifacts and exhibits have contributed to our modern world,” said Lonnie Mimms, co-founder and board chair of the Mimms Museum. “Our goal is to make technology and art more accessible, and Night Mode advances that mission by expanding how and when the public can experience our collections and gives the community a new way to engage with the museum.”
Night Mode welcomes guests to explore the museum’s extensive art and technology collections in a relaxed, after-hours setting with beer, wine and soft drinks available for purchase at a card-only bar. Exhibit highlights include an original Enigma machine, iconic supercomputers, a rare collection of Salvador Dalí prints and more. Running from 5 to 9 p.m., the series provides extended evening access for those who are not able to visit during the museum’s daytime hours.
In addition to Night Mode, the museum will continue its Sensory-Friendly Mornings and Punch Card Machine Demo events this summer, and will host “Educator Saturday” on August 30, providing free admission to K-12 educators.
Regular admission rates apply, while members of the museum can enjoy free entry and bring a guest to Night Mode. All ages are welcome to attend, though only guests 21 and over may purchase alcoholic beverages.
