Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta Welcomes Six Powerhouse Leaders to Board

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA) is pleased to announce the Class of 2025 Board of Directors. Board members play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization and helping secure resources to support BGCMA’s 25 Club locations across 9 counties in and around the city.
“At Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, our mission remains clear and urgent: to ignite the unlimited potential of kids and teens through safe spaces, caring mentors, and life-enhancing programs,” said BGCMA President & CEO Libby Saylor Wright. “Our Board plays a vital role in helping us deliver on that mission. We are so thankful for the counsel of each of our new Board members—who come from a myriad of industries that span human resources, commerce, transportation, and healthcare—as we work collectively to serve more kids, more often, and with greater impact.”

BGCMA welcomes six new Board members representing diverse perspectives and professional backgrounds:
New Board Members
Lori Bates is the Chief Operating Officer of BODYARMOR Sports Nutrition, where she leads Commercial Innovation, Category Insights, Revenue Management, and Field Sales across the Coca-Cola Sports portfolio. With more than 25 years in the beverage industry, she has driven growth, led large teams, and helped transform BODYARMOR’s culture and business performance. Lori began her career at Coca-Cola in 1995 and has held several leadership roles in strategy, commercialization, and execution across national channels. She is active in her community, having served as a Big Sister and a volunteer with youth organizations. Lori holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and communications with a business administration concentration from the University of Florida. She and her husband are the proud parents of two children and live in Roswell.
Jacob Frias is Vice President of Strategy and Store Operations at Carter’s, based in Atlanta. With over 20 years of leadership experience in the retail industry and a strong commitment to community impact, Jacob brings a wealth of experience and passion for servant leadership to the organization. He began his career as a pharmacist with Walmart, where he played a key role in launching the groundbreaking $4 prescription program—an initiative that significantly expanded access to affordable healthcare across the country. His career has since spanned executive leadership roles, including Vice President of Stores for East Coast for Bath and Body Works prior to his transition to Carter’s. A native of Lawton, Oklahoma, Jacob earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma. He now resides in Atlanta with his wife and three children. His dedication to uplifting communities and creating meaningful impact aligns closely with the mission and values of the Boys & Girls Club.
Tiffany Callaway Ferrell is Vice President of Operations at Southern Company Gas, where she oversees day-to-day operations, safety, compliance, and financial performance for Atlanta Gas Light and Chattanooga Gas. She previously served as General Manager of Shared Services at Georgia Power Company, leading statewide teams under the shared services umbrella. Earlier in her career, she held roles in logistics and engineering at General Mills and several leadership positions within Southern Company Gas, including asset protection, meter reading, and regional operations. Ferrell earned her chemical engineering degree from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Georgia State University. She actively serves on multiple community boards and was honored with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award in March 2025. Additionally, she was recognized as one of Atlanta's 100 Most Influential African American Women by the Atlanta Business League, which awarded her the League Leadership Award in 2016. She and her family are active in their church and local community.
Tony Norwood is Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Saia Inc., a publicly traded freight transportation and logistics company. He oversees all aspects of human resources, including talent strategy, organizational development, and culture & employee engagement initiatives. Prior to joining Saia, he held various HR executive roles at Trane Technologies, Ingersoll Rand, Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, and Merck. Norwood earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University and a master’s in Global HR Leadership from Rutgers. He also completed executive education at the National Academy of Human Resources. He has been married for more than 30 years, and he and his wife are actively involved in community service and disability inclusion work through Gigi’s Playhouse, a nonprofit focused on families with Down Syndrome.
Reed Deupree is a Senior Advisor at Masters Capital Management with more than 25 years of experience in financial services. He has worked across U.S. and international markets and previously served as a portfolio manager at Mendon Capital and GMT Capital. Earlier in his career, he helped start the financial services practice at The Carlyle Group during the global financial crisis after beginning his investing career with Legg Mason Capital Management. Deupree earned his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a bachelor’s degree from Washington & Lee University. He is married with three children and actively supports several youth-focused nonprofits, including prior roles with KIPP Metro Atlanta, Breakthrough Atlanta, and Atlanta Youth Academy.
Yasir Mirza is a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, based in Atlanta, and leads the firm’s Materials practice. Over his 23-year career with McKinsey, he has worked in the firm’s Atlanta, Stockholm, and Sydney offices, advising clients globally on strategy, operations, and organizational transformation. He has led complex change efforts across multiple industries, including packaging, chemicals, mining, construction, and industrial materials. Prior to McKinsey, Mirza worked as a Project Engineer and Area Sales Manager at Honeywell. He holds degrees in mechanical engineering and business and brings deep expertise in helping organizations scale operational performance and innovation.
