Goodwill of North Georgia Announces New 2025 & 2026 Board Members

Goodwill of North Georgia, a leading organization in connecting job seekers to meaningful employment, has announced the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors. These leaders are expected to contribute their passion, perspective, and expertise to shape the future of workforce opportunity and advance the organization's mission of putting people to work. Keith T. Parker, President and CEO of Goodwill of North Georgia, expressed his pleasure in welcoming these talented individuals.
New Board Members (3-year term beginning July 1, 2024):
Natalia Migal, Chief Risk Officer, DLL Financial
Natalia K. Migal is an accomplished C-Suite executive with over 20 years of leadership in global financial services. She brings a unique blend of risk-oriented strategic insight and executive acumen, making her well-suited to help boards navigate growth, transformation, and operational resilience. As a current Board Director at DLL Financial US and Philips Medical Capital, she is known for bringing clarity and discipline to risk governance, cybersecurity, and strategic oversight. Migal has a track record of aligning risk strategy with business objectives, building high-performing risk teams, and elevating the risk function into a strategic business asset during mergers and crises. In her board committee roles, she has enhanced budgeting, compensation, and financial oversight processes. Migal is also recognized for her thoughtful and strategic influence in executive sessions, proactively raising governance questions and delivering consensus-driven solutions.
Beyond her professional achievements, Natalia is a dedicated civic and community leader. She serves on the executive board of the Technology Association of Georgia, including roles as Finance Committee Chair and Treasurer. She is also on the Board of Councilors at The Carter Center and is a tenured Rotarian. Migal frequently contributes to industry discourse at risk and fraud thought leadership events through webinars and conference panels. She holds three master’s degrees—in Risk Management (NYU Stern), Applied Mathematics (DePaul University), and Sociology (University of Chicago)—and a bachelor’s from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Migal expressed her enthusiasm for serving on the board, stating, "Workforce development is more than just a mission; it's a journey of transformation that impacts individuals, families, and communities. My commitment to giving back and helping others reach their full potential fuels my enthusiasm for serving on the board of Goodwill of North Georgia. Together, we can create lasting change and empower our community through meaningful work and education.”
Daffany Fajardo Murphy, Vice President of Human Resources, Enterprise Mobility
Daffany Fajardo Murphy is the Vice President of Human Resources at Enterprise Mobility, where she oversees human resources, talent acquisition, and talent development for over 2,000 employees across more than 150 locations in Atlanta, GA. Her responsibilities support brands including Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Enterprise Car Sales, Enterprise Fleet Management, Alamo, and National Car Rental. Murphy began her career with Enterprise in 1998 as a Management Trainee in Boston and has dedicated 26 years to the company, with 24 of those in HR leadership roles.
Murphy holds a BA in Psychology and English Literature from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA. She is actively involved in community service, serving on the North Fulton Community Charities Advisory Council and having held leadership positions with United Way’s Women United Cabinet. A proud mother of two, her daughter teaches English in Spain, and her son is a sophomore at Georgia State University. In her spare time, Murphy enjoys traveling, dancing, and running, having recently completed her 13th marathon and 6th World Marathon Major in Boston this past April.
Murphy views her board service as a deeply personal mission. As a first-generation Dominican American, she has witnessed firsthand how access to opportunity can change lives. She believes that the ability to gain skills, find meaningful work, and build a better future is transformative, a promise that Goodwill's mission embodies. She is dedicated to supporting Goodwill's efforts to help individuals find jobs and empower them to build sustainable careers that foster lasting stability for themselves and their families.
New Board Members (3-year term beginning July 1, 2025):
James R. Summer III, Managing Director, Ernst & Young
James R. Summer is a Managing Director at Ernst & Young, with over 35 years of experience advising high-growth companies and mission-driven organizations. He is well-regarded in Atlanta’s startup and technology ecosystem for helping founders expand their networks and scale their businesses.
Summer also brings extensive expertise in nonprofit financial management and board governance, supporting EY teams across the U.S. and Canada on complex accounting and compliance issues. His client base ranges from large national nonprofits to some of Atlanta’s most successful "unicorns." Summer serves on the AICPA Not-for-Profit Expert Panel and has contributed to multiple FASB working groups focused on nonprofit reporting. He holds a B.B.A. from Emory University and is a CPA in Georgia. A member of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2024, James has held leadership roles with organizations including the Children’s Museum of Atlanta, HERO for Children, Lutheran Towers, and Youth About Business. He is also an active mentor with the Atlanta Technology Village, ATDC, Techstars, and the Cox CleanTech Accelerator.
Summer stated that joining the board of Goodwill of North Georgia aligns with his commitment to closing the opportunity gap and building a stronger Atlanta.
Ben Young, Editor in Chief and Publisher, Georgia Trend Magazine
Ben Young is the Editor in Chief and Publisher of Georgia Trend, a monthly magazine established in 1985 that covers business, politics, and economic development. With over 50,000 subscribers across every city and county in Georgia, the magazine has a strong statewide presence. A Dalton native, Young attended high school in Savannah and graduated with honors from Wake Forest University in 1994 as a Presidential and Eleanor Layfield Davis Art Scholar. After a decade working in Atlanta as an artist, writer, and record label entrepreneur, he joined Georgia Trend in 2003 and assumed the role of Editor-in-Chief and Publisher in 2017.
In addition to expanding Georgia Trend’s digital reach and leading custom publications like Georgia Grown, Young has received national journalism awards, including a Green Eyeshade Award. He serves on the boards of the Metro Atlanta and Georgia Chambers of Commerce and is active in the Gwinnett and Cobb Chamber leadership circles. His nonprofit work includes roles with the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Foundation and Wellroot, as well as past service with organizations such as Georgia Forward and the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. He resides in Avondale Estates with his wife, Temple, and their son, Holden.
Young expressed his anticipation for working with Goodwill of North Georgia, recognizing it as a critical resource for North Georgia in providing affordable goods and workforce training for many people in need. He stated that it is an honor to be selected to serve on the board.
