Kroger Atlanta Division Breaks Ground on $41M Locust Grove Marketplace

Today, Kroger’s Atlanta Division broke ground on its new Marketplace store in Locust Grove, Georgia. The store represents a $41 million capital investment and will span more than 123,000 square feet. It is expected to open in Fall 2026.
“This is not just a capital investment—it’s a community investment,” said Victor Smith, Kroger’s Atlanta Division President. “We recognize Kroger’s unique role in the communities we serve and are committed to creating positive change and delivering on our purpose to feed the human spirit.”
In addition to Kroger’s popular departments—such as floral, bakery, deli, meat, and fresh produce, the new store will include a wide range of features:

Kitchen Place

Smith also confirmed that Kroger’s Atlanta Division will open two additional Marketplace stores later this year in Hoschton and Bethlehem, Georgia.
