Mitsubishi Electric Classic presented by Vensure names Chris Carter as Director of Corporate Partnerships

The Mitsubishi Electric Classic presented by Vensure is pleased to welcome Chris Carter as its new Director of Corporate Partnerships. The longtime Georgia native will bring his more than 25 years of experience in the professional sports space to the Peach State’s lone PGA TOUR Champions event.

Since 2018, Carter has led C3 Consulting where he directed partner activation for the Atlanta Open, leveraged corporate relationships for Cirque du Soleil, established a diverse roster of corporate partnerships for the non-profit, Caring For Others "International Poverty Forum" and closed corporate partnership deals for the Atlanta Dream.

“Chris has dedicated much of his professional career to building meaningful partnerships for businesses and sports entities across the metro Atlanta area, and we are excited to bring him onto our team,” said Mitsubishi Electric Classic Executive Director Monte Ortel. “His experience and network in the area will be invaluable to our tournament and its goals as we seek to expand our partnerships in the future.”

A graduate of Valdosta State University, Carter has deep experience in the Atlanta market, including more than a decade with the Atlanta Hawks. He spent five years as Director of Partner Activation before a nine-year tenure as the team’s Senior Director of Corporate Partner Activation where he was instrumental in leading a team to meet goals for more than 70 national and local corporate brands making up more than $35 million in revenue.

Carter’s additional experience includes stints as the Director of Partnership Marketing & Activation at Integrity 9 Sports & Entertainment and the Director of Sports Marketing with NCR Corporation.
