Tyler Perry Studios Looking to Expand with Entertainment District in Southwest Atlanta

A new filing proposes a 38-acre expansion to Tyler Perry Studios in southwest Atlanta, appearing to end the previous pause on redevelopment plans.
The filing, submitted by a City of Atlanta urban planner, proposes the "Tyler Perry Entertainment District" at Atlanta's old Fort McPherson site. Located on Lee Street in Fulton County, the area would incorporate mixed-use spaces for offices, retail, theatre, and parking.
