Aprio, the 24th largest business advisory and accounting firm in the U.S., announced today the addition of two new partners, Nuwandi Trahan and Nathan Robnett. Both bring deep industry knowledge and proven experience that will strengthen Aprio’s national practices and expand the firm’s ability to support clients in the real estate and insurance sectors.

Nuwandi Trahan joins Aprio as Southwest Real Estate Leader and Assurance Partner, leading the firm’s real estate expansion across Texas and the Southwest. Based in Austin, she supports clients across multifamily, industrial, commercial, mixed-use, and affordable housing asset classes. Nuwandi leads the strategic coordination of audit, tax, and consulting services to deliver integrated solutions for clients.

With more than 18 years of experience, Nuwandi is recognized for her leadership in real estate audit and advisory, especially multifamily housing, LIHTC, HUD compliance, and financial reporting. Before joining Aprio, she helped launch and grow Texas affordable housing and Austin real estate portfolios at a global accounting and advisory firm by integrating services across audit, tax, and consulting. Nuwandi holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University, is a CPA licensed in Texas and Colorado, and serves as a founding advisory board member of the Women’s Affordable Housing Network (Texas Chapter).

Nathan Robnett joins Aprio as a Partner in Assurance Services, focused on expanding the firm’s insurance audit practice. He brings more than 20 years of experience building and scaling insurance practices, with deep experience in regulatory standards, including PCAOB, AICPA, US GAAP, IFRS, and SAP. Nathan has a strong track record of managing complex audits and working closely with executive leadership and audit committees to help insurance clients navigate evolving industry requirements.

Throughout his career, Nathan has held senior leadership roles where he built insurance audit teams from the ground up, serving a broad portfolio of specialty insurance clients, from public companies to captive insurance clients, including subsidiaries of Fortune 100 companies. He is a CPA licensed in Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, and Hawaii, and holds specialized approvals to perform captive insurance audits in additional states such as Vermont, Nevada, Tennessee, New York, Utah, South Carolina, Arkansas, and Missouri.

“This is how Aprio grows; with intentional moves that strengthen national practices and drive impact for clients,” said Richard Kopelman, CEO of Aprio. “With Nuwandi leading real estate growth in the Southwest, we’re delivering sharper insight and execution in a dynamic market. And by adding Nathan to our Insurance Services team, we are expanding how we deliver value to clients navigating complex challenges.”
