Monday, August 25th, 2025
The National Center for Civil and Human Rights (NCCHR) is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Quisa D. Foster as Chief Development Officer. A respected fundraising strategist and nonprofit leader, Dr. Foster brings more than two decades of experience mobilizing resources for mission-driven organizations and advancing equity through transformational giving.
As Chief Development Officer, Dr. Foster will lead NCCHR’s comprehensive development strategy by cultivating major gifts, expanding philanthropic partnerships, and securing vital support to further the Center’s mission: inspiring the changemaker in each of us to protect rights and advance human dignity.
Before joining the Center, Dr. Foster served as Senior Director of Partner Development at the National Black MBA Association, where she raised nearly $1 million in sponsorship dollars in just over a year, brought in new national corporate partners, and launched high-impact engagement events.
She is a proud Atlanta native and two-time graduate of Clark Atlanta University, where she earned her Bachelor’s and Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership. She also holds a Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix. Her work is fueled by a belief that storytelling is not only a tool for connection but a catalyst for justice.
Dr. Foster’s appointment follows a national executive search led by Ayanna Grady-Hunt of Anise Search, a firm known for placing visionary, values-aligned leaders in mission-driven organizations.
“I am honored to join the National Center for Civil and Human Rights as Chief Development Officer,” said Dr. Foster. “As an Atlanta native, this work is personal to me…our city carries both the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement and the responsibility to continue advancing equity and justice. I look forward to partnering with our incredible team, supporters, and community to strengthen the Center’s impact and ensure it remains a place where history and hope come together to inspire lasting change.”
The Center’s CEO Jill Savitt welcomed Dr. Foster to the organization, saying, “We are delighted that Quisa has joined our team just as we re-open our doors in November with two new wings. We embark on our next chapter with the infusion of Quisa’s expertise and leadership, as well as her remarkable energy and strategic guidance.”
