Kroger’s Atlanta Division today opened a $40 million, 123,000-square-foot Marketplace in Hoschton, Georgia, creating more than 250 jobs.

“This is not just a capital investment, it’s a community investment,” said Victor Smith, president of Kroger’s Atlanta Division.

In keeping with Kroger’s commitment to building Zero Hunger | Zero Waste communities, Kroger contractors and partners recycled more than 96.33% of construction waste to prevent it from going into landfills.

The division will open another Marketplace in Bethlehem, Georgia, later this year and recently broke ground on a new store in Locust Grove, Georgia

The new Hoschton Marketplace features Kroger’s popular departments along with Starbucks, Murray’s Cheese, a culinary kiosk, Kitchen Place, grocery pickup, an adjacent fuel center and a pharmacy with a drive-through.

The store also features a vibrant mural designed by UGA Professor of Art Joseph Norman and the renowned ‘Color the World Bright’ team.
