MARTA Artbound Invites and Win with "Transit Writing Prompts" Series

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, August 12th, 2025

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) public art program, Artbound, proudly presents a new collaborative project from LostintheLetters and Maite Nazario, 2025 Artist-in-Residence at the Public Art Futures Lab.

MARTA riders are encouraged to use their time on trains and buses to respond to weekly creative writing prompts from Atlanta-based nonprofit LostintheLetters. A new prompt will be released every Monday between August 4 and September 22.

Prompts can be accessed by scanning QR codes at select MARTA stations or by visiting Instagram @marta_artbound. Each week, one selected entry will be turned into an animation by Maite Nazario and shared online. Selected writers will receive a 10-trip Breeze card, and all submissions will be published at lostintheletters.org.
