Mystery, Magic and Characters Abound at Children’s Museum of Atlanta this August

Children’s Museum of Atlanta is bursting with imagination and hands-on fun this August! Kids can join the SCOOBY-DOO! gang throughout the month with activities like building ball runs in the Innovation Station, solving colorful mysteries in the Art Studio and becoming lever experts at the Science Bar. From Aug. 16-29, Gabby’s Dollhouse takes over with story times, scavenger hunts and crafts like making custom cat ears. Labor Day weekend offers Gabby’s MEOWseum Discovery Days, and the fun continues with TinyCON!, an annual Atlanta favorite event featuring costumes, pretend play and more.

SCOOBY-DOO! Part Two Electric Boogaloo
Through Friday, Aug. 15 and Wednesday, Sept. 1 – Thursday, Sept. 2
Join SCOOBY-DOO! and the Mystery Inc. crew for a month full of mystery-solving! Kids can explore simple machines by building a ball run or lifting a box of crayons using levers. Head to the stage to help crack “The Case of the Missing Goggles” and enjoy more interactive adventures. Don’t forget to check out the featured exhibit, SCOOBY-DOO! Mansion Mayhem where families put their problem-solving skills to the test!

Science Bar: Lifting with Levers
Small scientists discover how to lift everyday objects like a box of crayons using the power of simple machines.
Art Studio: Color-By-Numbers
Kids solve colorful mysteries following the number clues to bring an awesome picture to life, one block at a time.
Jane’s Innovation Station: Run Ball, Run!
Kiddos build and roll using recycled materials and simple machines to create the biggest, coolest ball run imaginable!

CMA On Stage
1 p.m. – Join Gabby on a magical treasure hunt, and help her find all the missing charms for her bracelet!
Scavenger Hunt
Friends band together to find all of Gabby’s pals hiding around the museum by grabbing a scavenger hunt sheet from the Art Studio to start the purr-fect adventure.
Art Studio: Cat Ears
Mini-artists will make their own custom cat ears exercising fine motor skills and coordination while expressing their personalities.

TinyCON!

Get ready for out-of-this-world fun at TinyCON! – a convention made just for kids! Held annually over Labor Day weekend, TinyCon! is a multi-day celebration of fantasy, science fiction and everyone’s favorite fictional universes. Little ones can don their favorite fantasy costumes and bring their imaginations to life with themed activities, hands-on fun and plenty of pretend play. Watch the Dragon Con excitement downtown on Saturday, then head over to TinyCON! in the evening to keep the party going with even more playful adventures. Costumes and cosplays are encouraged

SCOOBY-DOO!™ Mansion Mayhem
Through Sept. 7, 2025
SCOOBY-DOO! and the gang invite families to solve a gem of a mystery. This celebratory experience, created by Children’s Museum of Indianapolis in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences (WBDGE), asks kids and caretakers to combine forces with the members of Mystery Inc. to analyze clues and put their problem-solving skills to the test. Families and young detectives will work through the rooms of the mansion meeting different characters of the iconic TV show that has captivated fans for more than 50 years. Little ones will also have the chance to unmask the jewel thief and discover secrets of the mansion!
