Secretary Raffensperger Brings Senior Financial Wellness Event “Savvy Senior” to Atlanta

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is thrilled to announce the upcoming Savvy Senior live event, taking place at Impact Church in Atlanta on September 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We are proud to partner with Nu Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® and Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) for this important financial wellness event.
Join us for “Senior Savvy: Empower Your Financial Wellness Journey.” Our panelists will discuss essential strategies for retirement planning and fraud prevention. Strengthen your financial security and build confidence in managing your future with expert insights, resources, and practical tips.
This event is completely free and open to everyone across the state of Georgia. We especially encourage senior citizens, their family members, and caregivers to attend. Whether you're looking for resources, support, or simply a meaningful community experience, this event is designed with you in mind. A complimentary continental breakfast will be provided with registration.

Both panels will be moderated by Donna Lowry, an award-winning journalist. The first panel, focusing on “Financial Wellness,” will feature Shardea Ages, CFP®, Co-Founder and Senior Wealth Advisor at Collective Wealth Partners; Fredrick Stanfield, Founder of Lifewater Wealth Management; and Tiffany Kent, CFP®, Principal of Wealth Engagement, LLC. The second panel, dedicated to “Fraud Awareness,” will include Angela Adams, Assistant United States Attorney, Elder Justice Coordinator, NDGA; Nathan Coflin, Georgia Team Lead, Community Outreach Specialist, Senior Medicare Patrol, Advise Well Inc; Shawn Horace, Senior Special Agent CFE, CACTS, Criminal Investigations Division, Office of Commissioner John F. King; Melissa Sneed, Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia in Atlanta; and Noula Zaharis, Assistant Commissioner of Securities and Division Director of the Securities & Charities Division at the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.
Savvy Senior is a financial empowerment seminar series hosted by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger as part of his multi-faceted financial literacy effort and is administered through the Securities and Charities divisions of the Office of Secretary of State. These free events feature industry leaders who discuss resources that can help increase attendees’ knowledge about money, their relationship to money, and financial issues and strategies for growing their wealth.
