Synovus has appointed business leader Matt Ramsey to the Atlanta advisory board, effective July 16. 

“Matt’s leadership in business and commitment to the growth and development of our fast-growing metro area are an inspiration to Synovus and our Atlanta advisory board,” said Allen Barker, North Georgia Division CEO for Synovus. “We’re confident his expertise will enhance the board’s effectiveness and impact.”

Rasey is a partner with Warner, Hooper and Ramsey, P.C. Before starting his law practice, he worked in public service as a staff member for United States Congressman Mac Collins. Ramsey was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2007, where he served for 10 years. He is a member of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, having recently served as chairman of the board. He also serves on the boards of Piedmont Fayette Hospital and Fayette County’s first craft brewery, Line Creek Brewing Company. Ramsey is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and Georgia State University College of Law.
