Hotel Phoenix Announces Executive Leadership Team

After the appointments of Martin Wormull as General Manager and Omari Buncum as Director of Food and Beverage, the highly anticipated Hotel Phoenix welcomes five seasoned leaders to its executive team, each bringing valuable expertise and a strong background in hospitality.
Cesar Brand has been appointed to the Hotel Phoenix leadership team as Hotel Manager. With decades of experience leading luxury properties, including The Whitley, JW Marriott Marquis Miami, The St. Regis Bal Harbour and W South Beach, Brand is recognized for elevating service standards and inspiring high-performing teams. A seasoned pre-opening leader, he has successfully launched multiple properties, developing operational systems that balance exceptional guest experiences with associate engagement. Brand is committed to fostering a culture of excellence, ensuring every stay is seamless and memorable.
Danielle Randall joins as Director of Sales & Marketing, bringing over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Known for driving measurable results and increasing RevPAR, Randall has built a career on strategic vision, operational excellence, and sales innovation. Working for notable brands, such as Marriott, Hilton, and IHG, Randall has earned numerous accolades, including several President’s Awards, as well as being named Manager of the Quarter, Director of Sales and Marketing of the Year, and recognized for her humanitarian contributions. These honors reflect her outstanding leadership, commitment to service and deep industry roots and expertise.In her new role at Hotel Phoenix, she will lead all pre-opening sales and marketing initiatives, positioning the property as one of the region’s most exciting new hospitality destinations ahead of its late 2025 debut.
Tiffany Newsome has been named Director of Human Resources. A seasoned leader with 15 years of experience shaping people-first cultures at Atlanta’s most prestigious hotels, including Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental and Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead, Newsome brings a refined expertise in talent development and organizational strategy. Most recently, she oversaw HR for the pre-opening of Aparium Hotel Group’s Hotel Granada, establishing systems, policies and recruitment practices that fostered a thriving and engaged team.
Samantha Fleisher has joined Hotel Phoenix as Director of Finance, bringing extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial strategy from leading hotels in Atlanta and New York. Her career includes key roles at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, Baccarat Hotel New York, opening of The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel, and Loews Hotel Atlanta. Fleisher will oversee financial planning and operations, ensuring a solid foundation for the property’s growth and long-term success.
Pete Baum has been appointed to the Hotel Phoenix leadership team as Director of Engineering. With more than 15 years of experience overseeing complex hotel operations, Baum has led engineering teams at luxury properties, including Loews Atlanta Hotel, Holston House Nashville and Hilton Marco Island, as well as multiple new-build openings across major hospitality brands. Recognized for his technical expertise and leadership, he has earned industry honors, including Hyatt’s Leadership Award and Manager of the Year. At Hotel Phoenix, Baum will guide all engineering operations, ensuring the property’s systems and facilities operate seamlessly to support an exceptional guest experience.
