Marcus & Millichap Arranges Sale of Life Sciences Headquarters and Research Facility in Metro Atlanta

Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced the sale of the two-story, 79,854-square-foot MiMedx corporate headquarters and research facility in Marietta, Georgia. The asset sold for $12.9 million. 

“The MiMedx property sale demonstrates the value we provide to our clients. This single-tenant asset was unique and required a targeted and proactive marketing campaign to identify high probability buyers,” said David Gant, senior director investments. “This effort generated multiple offers and resulted in a successful closing for our client.” 

Gant and Lori Schneider, executive managing director investments, represented the seller in association with John Leonard the firm’s broker of record in Georgia.   

Located at 1775 W. Oak Commons Court in Marietta, the property was built in 1993 and sits on a 7.17-acre site with 291 parking spaces. The building includes laboratory and clean-room space, a warehouse with two roll-up doors and a loading dock and executive office areas with conference rooms. Recent capital improvements include a roof replacement and upgraded HVAC systems. Situated in North Atlanta, the property offers convenient access to Interstate 75. 

MiMedx Group Inc. (Nasdaq: MDXG), the tenant, is a biopharmaceutical company specializing in regenerative medicine and placental tissue allografts. Founded in 2008, the company employs nearly 900 people.
