Fulton County Operation Green Light Honors Local Veterans
Wednesday, November 5th, 2025
Fulton County is sending a signal to local veterans to say thank you for their service and the personal sacrifices made in defending our country. The public is invited to join county officials on Monday, November 10, 2025, for the Annual Operation Green Light Ceremony.
This celebration of the men and women who served in the U.S. Armed Forces will begin at 5 p.m. in the Atrium of the Government Center at 141 Pryor Street, SW in Downtown Atlanta.
Operation Greenlight is a national collaborative initiative to support military veterans, as well as raise awareness about the unique challenges they may face. Once illuminated from the windows at the Government Center, the beautiful green lights will be seen each evening throughout the week including on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Residents are also encouraged to participate in Operation Green Light by simply changing one light bulb in their house to a green bulb. This can be an exterior light that neighbors and passersby see, or an interior light that sparks a conversation with friends. Commissioner Thorne is also encouraging businesses and governmental entities to also show support by illuminating their buildings in green throughout the week.
