Following the completion of its multi-phased renovation, Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead has been awarded   LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), recognizing the hotel’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable operations

“We are proud to achieve LEED Silver certification, which reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability and responsible hospitality," said Kristi Cotton-Morris, General Manager of Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead. "From energy-efficient systems to water-saving initiatives and healthier indoor environments, every detail of our operations is guided by our dedication to the planet and the well-being of our guests."

Situated in one of Atlanta’s most prestigious neighborhoods, the hotel blends Southern elegance with classical architecture. Its multi-million-dollar renovation introduced 439 revitalized guest rooms and suites, a reconceptualized lobby with a striking new front desk, The Fabled, a sophisticated new lounge serving cocktails inspired by storytelling, featuring a three-story waterfall backdrop, and a 24-hour market highlighting local and Black-owned businesses. Guests can also enjoy proximity to acclaimed restaurants, high-end shopping, and cultural attractions.

LEED is the world’s most widely used green building rating system and an international symbol of excellence. Achieving LEED Silver means the hotel has been verified as environmentally friendly and energy-efficient. This level reflects the hotel’s strong performance across key categories such as energy efficiency, water conservation, indoor air quality, sustainable materials, and site development.

“Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead’s LEED certification demonstrates tremendous green building leadership,” said Peter Templeton, president and CEO, USGBC. “LEED was created to make the world a better place and revolutionize our buildings and communities by providing everyone with access to healthy, green and high performing buildings. Grand Hyatt Atlanta is a prime example of how the innovative work of project teams can create local solutions that contribute to making a global difference.”
