Piedmont Park Conservancy Hosts Inaugural “Light Up the Season” Event, Nov. 23

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Thursday, November 20th, 2025

The Piedmont Park Conservancy invites the community to kick off the holiday season at the inaugural Light Up the Season celebration in The Meadow at Piedmont Park Sunday, Nov. 23, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The evening will feature remarks from Rev. Natasha Reid Rice, Mindy Selig Shoulberg and Conservancy leadership, along with spirited performances by electric violinist Michelle Winters and a cappella group The Atlanta Graduates. Guests can enjoy festive photo ops, complimentary scoops of holiday-inspired frozen custard from Shake Shack, hands-on activities from the Children’s Museum of Atlanta – including coloring books and a large block installation – along with special offers like discounted tickets from Cirque du Soleil and Park Tavern’s ice-skating rink.

The evening will feature the lighting of the Park’s Great Tree, Menorah and Kinara, symbolizing unity, hope and the shared spirit of the season. Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food for The Salvation Army Can-A-Thon (with Publix), new children’s pajamas for Beyond Bedtime (with the Carter’s Charitable Foundation) and gently used or new books for the Park’s Little Free Library, joining together in celebration of generosity and community under the glow of the city skyline.
